ESSENTIALS: Nov Ganon is a Hip Hop artist from Brooklyn, NY. One of the things that really attracted me to him is his humble approach. The industry today maybe more than ever is over-crowded by egotistic, elitist-minded personalities, and believe me Nov Ganon is far from that. As a matter of fact, he’s lifetimes beyond that kind of superfluous attitude.
ARTICLE OF CLOTHING HE CANT DO WITHOUT: “As far as clothing goes. I can’t do without my G.Star, Akstar lifestyle as well as my pieces from the F.O.E line. There are a lot of brands that I rock with from time to time, but those are the main labels you can catch me in frequently. However, when it comes to kicks I cannot do without my ‘Mighty Crowns’. I’d wear them everyday if it were possible. Rain, snow, or hurricane they are by far my sneaker of choice. [laughs]
NEXT BIG PROJECT: “The Cram Session EP is my first official release. With this project, my aim is to broaden the horizons of my audience’s minds, and I’m making it easy to the point where all they have to do is put it on their iPod, and let me take care of the rest. Probably, the most exciting thing the project is produced by a select number of overseas musical geniuses
MUSIC THAT INSPIRED HIM TO MAKE MUSIC: “Honestly, I can really say that I can be inspired by anything, but nothing can inspire me like music does. Lately, for example, I have been listening to old Biggie albums, and the Blueprint 2(Gift & The Curse) that type of music inspires me by bringing back memories of the era of Hip Hop, which I personally love.”
FAVORITE EATERY: “One of the best spots to eat at in NY is bar 89 right off of Broadway, but Shhh don’t tell anyone. Its funny because people walk by it all the time, and don’t even know this hidden gem is right there. [laughs] They serve the best wings and waffle fries period, and the best part is the bathroom with the see-through stalls, they fog up when you lock yourself in. Fast food? Forget about it. [laughs]
PRODUCER HE WANTS TO COLLABORATE WITH: “I need to work with Swizz Beats. I respect him because he’s been in the industry for so long, and he is still a leader in today’s market. I could see myself gaining a lot of knowledge and know-how from simply being around him. Plus, every beat he emits overflows with energy, and that’s the kind of music I’m making, so really it’s a no-brainer.”
